White House Deputy Editor

POLITICO is seeking a smart, enterprising, and energetic editor to help guide coverage of the White House. The editor will help lead a team covering one of Washington's most challenging and exciting beats through creative and engaging journalism in a fast-moving news environment. This editor must exhibit excellent news judgment and exceptional skill at helping reporters produce high-impact journalism in a fast-paced newsroom. Responsibilities include generating story ideas, coordinating coverage with fellow editors, and editing breaking news, quick-turn enterprise, our West Wing Playbook newsletter, and longer-term deep dives.
