Paginator - Copy Editor

Postmedia Editorial Services, Barrie, is looking for a versatile Paginator with the skills to produce weekly and daily newspaper pages that grab attention and engage readers. This is a full-time, contract position. Work from home.

Duties:

Layout and design a high volume of newspaper pages, including fronts and feature pages, for our weekly and daily newspapers
Work as part of a tight-knit team in a high-pressure environment to achieve excellence in newspaper design
Responsible for ensuring highest standards of quality control.

Skills and Qualifications:

Superb layout and design abilities
Strong typography skills
Exceptional ability to spot errors in layout style
Well organized, with excellent communication skills and an ability to work under strict deadlines
Proficiency with InDesign
Experience with Saxo CMS an asset, but not a requirement
Efficient and calm under pressure.
