PR/Communications Specialist

Girl Scouts of Southeastern Michigan (GSSEM) is seeking an energetic, creative, and passionate PR/Communications Specialist to join a team of communications professionals. The selected individual will be responsible for managing multiple elements of assigned projects and working cooperatively with the MarComm team and all GSSEM departments. The PR/Communications Specialist is responsible for media relations including developing a monthly media pitch calendar, identifying media worthy opportunities, and development/distribution/follow-up of press releases and media advisories. The PR/Communications specialist will also write and oversee production of collateral materials, newsletters and blog content, and manage/support MarComm functions at assigned GSSEM events. News research and newswriting experience are a plus. He/she is a motivated self-starter, multi-tasker, and can put creativity, insight and experience to work to deliver next level results in an often fast-paced and strongly supportive environment.
