The impact you’ll have:

Reporting to the PR Manager, this is an exciting opportunity to join our growing brand and PR function at loveholidays, providing hands-on support to ensure we deliver against our communications objectives. As our PR Executive, you will play a key role in protecting and enhancing our reputation as a leading online travel agent by delivering creative and newsworthy stories.

We’re looking for someone who is a curious, creative team player and is willing to get stuck in to land high impact coverage. In return, we promise to provide you with a rewarding and supportive environment where you’ll have the opportunity to grow and develop.

Your day-to-day:

External Communications and PR:

Develop press releases, media pitches, briefing documents and other communications materials
Build and maintain relationships with key national, regional and trade journalists, keeping our media database up to date
Pitch a range of stories and late deals to press each week
Monitor the news and social media for potential reputational issues, industry updates, trends and competitor activity
Identify newsjacking opportunities and work quickly to leverage them
Daily monitoring and documentation of all earned coverage
Support the PR manager in producing regular measurement reporting to track progress against KPIs
Administrative tasks such as invoicing

Your skillset:

Creativity is key for this role - we want to create a newsjacking mentality so you’ll need to be able to think outside of the box
Ability to build media facing narratives that highlight our brand messages and capture journalists’ attention, ensuring they genuinely understand who we are and what we do
A team player with excellent attention to detail
Superb written and oral communications skills, with the ability to think and act with speed
Highly organised and efficient, able to work clearly and effectively in a fast paced environment
Excellent stakeholder management skills, being able to influence upwards is key as you’ll be working with stakeholders at all levels of seniority
Experience in a fast-paced PR agency or in-house press office function
Experience of executing consumer brand-awareness PR campaigns
Knowledge and understanding of crisis communications and issues management
Knowledge and understanding of digital PR and the dynamics of SEO authority

Not necessary but would be desirable to have:

Knowledge and understanding of the travel sector
UK and Irish media relationships, ideally across travel and consumer affairs
Experience managing agency relationships towards delivering clear business outcomes
Knowledge of the evolving social and influencer landscape would be beneficial
