As a Senior Lawyer Writer with Practical Law Corporate, you will develop and write premium Practical Law content to be used by practising corporate lawyers. You will also work collaboratively to help achieve the ongoing success of both the Corporate and the wider Practical Law teams.
In this highly collaborative role, led by practice area head writers, you will use your experience gained from legal practice.
About the Role
In the role of Senior Lawyer Writer, Corporate, you will:
Plan, research, draft, edit and update premium quality Practical Law resources for the (Corporate Transactions and Company Law practice areas, including practice notes, checklists, standard documents and clauses, drafting notes and legal updates in accordance with established writing style and guidance.
Keep up to date with the law and monitor the latest legal, practice and market developments, with a focus on the corporate transactions and company law practice areas.
Develop and maintain relationships with legal practitioners in the market to ensure content remains relevant and reflects current market practice and is tailored to meet customer needs.
Support the sales and marketing teams. This may include participation in sales demonstrations to potential customers or working with the marketing team to develop webinar content.
About You
You’re a fit for the role of Senior Lawyer Writer, Practical Law Corporate, if you meet the following criteria:
Admitted to practice as a lawyer with at least 5 years PQE gained at a top-tier or highly regarded mid-tier firm or in-house legal team.
Background and career experience in:
Corporate transactions, drafting and negotiating documentation. This experience may have been gained in any practice area, including commercial law.
Company law, including corporate governance.
The creativity to conceive resources to be written, and evaluate drafting ideas and approaches.
An innate curiosity, interest and passion for learning about and writing on legal topics relating to corporate law.
Excellent project management, research, technical, drafting and communication skills.
