Job Summary: We are looking for an experienced Jr. Technical Writer to join our organization who will be the evangelist in crafting simple and elegant technical documents that can be easily understood by a wide range of audience. You must have a passion to understand how Payments software products work and enjoy deciphering technical jargon into easy to read narratives. You should have worked in product management teams using agile/ scrum methodologies and be able to show that you have put out software product document releases, webinars and presentations. RESPONSIBILITIES:
Product & Sprint Management
Work with a global set up of PMs, UI designers, Engineering and QA teams to help create technical documents including product releases, webinars and presentations in a predictable, timely manner.
Be the subject matter expert on your products along with the product managers to write effective technical documents.
Prepare instruction manuals and document product features.
Disseminate technical information in easy-to-understand language for non-technical audience.
Have technical accuracy in writing user documentation.
Create software documentation after a thorough collaboration with subject matter experts and technical staff.
Help other writers in creating documentation.
Ability to take existing and potential content and improve it.
Convert complex documentation to easy language for multiple audiences.
Create product manuals with screenshots and tutorials.
Write documentation for internal teams such as developers and programmers.
Write specs deciphering API’s, XML, markdown, or HTML and other web applications.
Communicate complex ideas in a concise manner.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
2-5 years of proven experience in writing technical documentation.
Solid grip on documentation publishing software such as Zendesk Guide, Camtasia, SnagIt, and other software.
Experience using JIRA/ Confluence is a big plus.
Experience working with global teams is a plus.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel), and instructional software.
Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Understand and explain complex technical concepts in simple terms.
Strong research and analytical skills.
Ability to undertake multiple projects and deliver on tight deadlines.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
Bachelors in Engineering, Computer Applications, Business preferred.
Experience working with Payment/FinTech products is preferred.
Experience working in an agile scrum setup, planning sprints, and working closely with engineering and QA teams to help deliver release notes to customers will be preferred.
Compensation & Benefits:
Compensation range: $64,000 - $100,000
