Business Editor

Protocol is hiring a business editor. The ideal candidate should have substantial experience assigning and editing stories about business and finance as well as considerable knowledge of the tech industry. We are looking for someone who can quickly and decisively analyze the latest news and then assign stories that fit our mission of telling a savvy, insider audience about the most important things happening in the world of technology.

This candidate is equally comfortable editing scoops, daily news stories and enterprise pieces; has experience working with reporters with diverse experiences and backgrounds; and is well-sourced, energetic and excited about the opportunity to join a fast-paced startup.

Location: We prefer that this position is located in the San Francisco Bay Area, but we are open to candidates living in other locations as well.
