Reporter - Fintech

We're hiring a reporter to cover the world of financial technology, including payment systems, financial back-end systems, transaction management, trading, blockchain and the regulations that govern that world. We're looking for someone who will understand the role that some of the biggest tech companies (Facebook, Apple, Google, etc.) play and hope to play in the world of payments, as well as the upcoming players looking to disrupt the banking and financial services industry.

The ideal candidate will be well sourced in fintech, with a knack for finding out what's happening and explaining what it means and why it matters to a savvy audience; be capable of producing scoops, daily news and enterprise stories; and have a solid understanding of financial markets and technology. We're not looking for a reporter to summarize what others have already reported; we're looking for a reporter who can consistently break news that other reporters have to follow.
