Role Overview
Public Health Hired is looking for Bloggers and Content Creators with diverse perspectives from public health students and professionals who can provide insight, personal perspectives, and thought provoking narratives on the employment industry, employment process, educational journeys, and lifestyles of the public health workforce. Bloggers will be expected to build connections, network, interview others, and research various topics as needed in order to raise issues, concerns, considerations, and learning opportunities for our followers and for anyone searching on the internet for more information about overcoming the difficulties of getting hired in public health among other relatable topics. This role is ideal for someone who wants to build their reputation, grow their writing skillset, and add Content Developer or Blogger on their resume.

Job Description

Submit blog content at least once a month
Create 500-1,000 word blogs on topics related to:
public health careers, industry trends, companies, employment process, job searching, promotions, working with managers, education, internships, salaries, workforce trends, mental health, networking, and other topics associated to the lifestyles and careers of public health professionals and students.
Create and generate blog topics to write on. Choose subject matter that is of interest to readers
Conduct research to obtain factual information and authentic detail
Write content for the blog
Conduct interviews for blogs
Research other third party outlets/blogs to post content onto
Connect with other bloggers for feedback, ideas, and possible interviews
Post on your social media the link to blogs when they are posted and ready for the public, but not required. This is encouraged.

Requirements

Experience in public health as a student or working professional.
Experience in writing, publishing, blogging, content development and/or professional writing, preferred but not required.
Bachelor's degree or Master’s degree in public health, public administration, business administration, healthcare management, journalism, English, communications, sociology, psychology or related fields are highly preferred
Possess engaging "conversational" writing skills with a professional posture
The successful candidates must be computer savvy and able to research topics as needed.

Compensation: $50 per Blog ( 500-1000 words each blog)
