Supporting Northeast Credit Union’s mission to enrich and nourish the lives of others, the Public Relations (PR) and Event Specialist will organize the Credit Union’s community outreach efforts, sponsorships and events guided by the principles of Northeast’s mission-driven areas of impact: the elimination of food insecurity, access to affordable housing and education as well as other opportunities to build Northeast’s brand and reputation. Under the direction of the VP of Marketing, this hands-on role is responsible for managing sponsorship requests, event planning and logistics within the communities we serve. This person will develop and maintain Northeast’s public relations strategy, including writing media releases, identify earned media opportunities to maintain and enhance the credit union’s positive public image. These initiatives include, but are not limited to the planning, execution and organizing of community sponsorships and organizational events, managing public relations activities, working alongside the community and our internal teams to ensure Northeast Credit Union is recognized for its efforts in key impact areas. As an effective Marketing team member, the PR and Events Specialist works with all areas of the Credit Union to develop and implement innovative strategies, campaigns, communications and events to support our mission and drive brand awareness. Must be able to manage multiple tasks and shift priorities swiftly.
