Public Relations Managers must be strategic communicators with the ability to anticipate challenges and solve problems on the fly. The PR Manager’s primary responsibilities include developing strong, multi-faceted PR campaigns that deliver results and complement clients’ overarching marketing and communications strategies, managing client relationships, and collaborating with team members on campaigns. This position is very hands-on and requires extensive knowledge of public relations, an understanding of the ways public relations works with digital marketing, social media, branding, and creative as well as a thorough understanding of metrics to measure campaign impact and effectiveness.

Like all positions at Koch Comm, the ability to work both collaboratively and independently is important. A successful person in this role will be able to juggle multiple projects simultaneously, developing, informing and executing PR tactics across a variety of client accounts.

CLIENT RELATIONSHIP MANAGEMENT
As the primary point of contact for assigned clients, Public Relations Managers serve as an extension of the client’s team, fostering deep relationships, understanding client needs, goals and competitive landscape and balancing the expectations of clients with the execution of Koch Comm services.

STRATEGY DEVELOPMENT AND MEASURABLE RESULTS
From concept to completion, the Public Relations Manager is responsible for the successful development of integrated public relations strategy that aligns with and supports the client’s overall business strategy. In partnership with the Project Managers, the PR Manager is responsible for coordinating the resources and information needed to execute strategic tactics that create measurable and meaningful results for clients.

PUBLIC RELATIONS SERVICES AND EXECUTION
In conjunction with the VP of Strategy and Development, the Public Relations Manager is responsible for PR services, strategy and execution across the organization. The Public Relations Manager is in constant collaboration with Brand Managers to develop strategy and execute for all clients with PR services. This position also owns the tools, vendors and relationships required to successfully produce public relations results for clients. .

REQUIREMENTS
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in journalism, marketing, advertising, mass communications, English or a related field

5-7 years of professional experience in digital marketing, public relations and/or journalism, advertising or online marketing with client relationship management experience preferred

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

Must be willing to work in a hybrid work environment, with a primary office being at home but attending regular, weekly meetings in person

Must be willing to work outside of standard business hours as needed for crisis management, client reputation management and special projects
Must be willing to travel regional/in-state as needed for client meetings and events
Must have reliable transportation with proper registration and auto insurance
Must pass a background check
