Position Overview

QinetiQ US is looking for a Technical Editor to provide focused administrative support for OUSD(R&E) to include editing and formatting correspondence, reports, briefings and other content drafted by technical and management personnel in accordance with DoD 5110.4-M and Chicago Manual of Style 16th Edition; transmit documents and data files; provide focused support for business meetings and other events; support conference planning, travel coordination, and organizational activities. Manage and track data call requests. Assist in providing illustration/graphics support requiring visual display/presentations/aids, including videos. An ideal candidate will be able to operate independently when required with minimal guidance and supervisionand will possess problem solving skills and able to conduct independent research. Responsibilities

Preparation of Briefings and Other Documentation:
The contractor shall prepare formal, official program documents and correspondence based on OUSD (R&E) input and direction and maintains accountability of associated program files and records.
The contractor shall assist in the development and coordination of appropriate responses, reports pertaining to OUSD (R&E) projects. The contractor will provide these reports and summaries as prescribed in official DoD or other federal directives.
The contractor shall actively participate in scheduled and unscheduled in-process review meetings and briefings, as required by the Government.
The contractor shall participate in ad-hoc meetings and be able to complete high priority assignments with quick turnaround response time. The contractor shall maintain configuration and quality control of assignments at all times to assist with this data call.
Liaison with Governmental and Non-Governmental Agencies:
Interface with Governmental and non-Governmental agencies.
Analyze requirements for inter-agency working groups and coordinating inputs from numerous sources, other Government agencies, academia, and non-Governmental organizations.
Research multiple topics, such as major technical issues and research trends, and use that research to write speeches and create presentations that focus on specific topics to engage audiences; draft speeches and presentations specifically for customer; and produce complex, high-profile speeches, presentations and communications for customer.

Required Qualifications

A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university is required. At the discretion of the Government, a minimum of four (4) years of specialized experience which includes military experience may be substituted in lieu of specific educational requirements, in addition to the minimum experience listed above.
Ten (10) years' of experience in providing technical editing and writing support to high-ranking Federal Government Senior Executive or DoD Flag / General Officers.

Preferred Qualifications

Thorough working knowledge of Chicago Manual of Style 16 th Edition required. Knowledge of government document process procedures (DoD 5110.4-M) is highly desirable.
