The Opportunity
We're looking for a Product Copywriter to join our team on a 6 Month Fixed Term Contract, based at our Media & Commerce Centre in Chiswick Park, to help us to write detailed product descriptions across a range of product categories from beauty and fashion to home and electronics.
Reporting to the Senior Copywriter, you'll be trained on all our style guidelines to write copy for our award-winning website www.qvcuk.com and apps.
Whilst always writing in the QVC tone of voice, the style will vary between witty and creative to detailed and informative. You'll work with a variety of departments from Customer Care to Buyers and Merchandisers.

Your Impact
You'll write imaginative copy to enhance the sell of products over the interactive platforms.
You will structure information to optimise its impact - considering usability, SEO and accessibility.
You will research the subject's main features, USPs, marketplace context and benefits to the customer using any available resource including internal and external contacts, the internet and published materials.
You will proofread your own work to ensure all output meets acceptable grammar and punctuation standards.
You will research and verify all information included in copy with relevant contacts, e.g. Buying, suppliers.
You will ensure all output complies with company, industry and legal regulations.
What You Bring
You'll need to have a degree in English, Media or a related field; and demonstrate attention to detail, impeccable grammar and a enthusiasm for writing.
You must also be able to show evidence of writing to deadlines.
Previous copywriting experience in internet retail, marketing or advertising would be advantageous.
Knowledge of Search Engine Optimisation is not essential would be beneficial.
You will be asked to show examples of your writing at interview.
