Junior Editorial Content Producer

Rapid News Group, located in Chester, UK, is looking for a Junior Editorial Content Producer to work within one of its industry-leading product groups.

The role will be based inside the TCT Group on a B2B website that serves the manufacturing quality industry — an essential, high-tech sector that affects every manufactured product.

Assisting the editorial team, the Junior Editorial Content Producer will be primarily responsible for maintaining the news output on the magazine's websites and social media platforms by processing press releases, as well as actively pursuing and working at the direction of senior staff on longer form insights pieces such as interviews and digital features.

This hybrid role is primarily based at our Chester, UK office with a flexible work from home allowance.

Responsibilities:

Process press releases across Manufacturing Quality and TCT Magazine websites
Produce editorial features that provide manufacturing quality insights and answer your audience’s questions
Develop an understanding of the manufacturing quality industry and respond to trending themes and topics
Seek out editorial contributions by manufacturing industry thought-leaders
Produce digital content in a range of mediums – written, video, social and newsletters
Undertake social media engagement work within RNG’s social media guidelines — including repurposing content for various platforms
Build, test, schedule and send weekly newsletters

Key Requirements:

Ambitious, motivated, self-starter
Excellent written and verbal communication/reporting skills
Experience or training in journalism
Confident working across social media platforms
Strong work ethic, positive attitude, and desire to impact on products
IT skills – MS Office, content management systems
Passionate about creating high-quality content for our audience
Team player with ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
Experience of audio, video and events work is advantageous
Willingness to travel to national and international events

Salary: £20,000 - 22,000 DOE
