Senior Copy Editor

New Posted 12 October 2023 | Dallas, TX | RAPP

RAPP Dallas is looking for a Senior Copy Editor to join our award-winning Technology team.

We think too much marketing isn’t us. It’s mass markets not audiences of one. Homogenous groups to be targeted, not individuals to be inspired. Segments to reach, not people with their own ideas and ambitions. It’s one size fits all and it’s dull.

When it comes to individuals, we’re fierce. We stand up for individuality. We speak up against bland, broad-brush generalizations. We fight for solutions that adapt to the individual’s needs, beliefs, behaviors and aspirations. And we commit to doing this in every aspect of our work for clients and their consumers.

We actively foster an inclusive workplace where diversity and individual difference are valued and leveraged to achieve the agency’s vision. And most importantly we value every individual’s wellbeing.

We are Fiercely Individual.

How We Do It

At RAPP we are fiercely focused on the individual and how we can create value from every individual’s experience with a brand. We do this across three capability areas: customer centric consulting, creativity that inspires action and customer experience management.

Our data analysts know who that person is. Our strategists understand what they want. And our award-winning Technologists and Creatives know how to get it to them.

RAPP is an integral part of Omnicom’s Precision Marketing Group, comprising 4,000 creatives, technologists, strategists, and data and marketing scientists across 40 global markets.

Oversee the copy-editing workload, ensuring thorough reviews, timely turnarounds and equitable distribution of assignments while minimizing bottlenecks. Prioritize urgent work, and escalate and help address bandwidth/timing challenges with cross-discipline collaborators.
Monitor, audit and optimize copy-editing process and adjacent processes to ensure requirements are always being met with maximum effectiveness and efficiency.
Review error reports and conduct root cause analyses to prevent recurrence.
Exercise tact, diplomacy and protection of confidential information.
Execute all aspects of administrative responsibilities (e.g., timesheets, time-off requests) in an appropriately detailed and timely manner.

At least 4 years’ experience as a full-time copy editor reviewing both digital and print work.
At least 2 years' experience copy editing materials for the financial services industry and/or another highly regulated industry (healthcare, pharma, etc.).
At least 2 years in a senior and/or supervisory position.
Strong computer literacy and ability to learn new software quickly. Comfort with both Windows and Mac operating systems. Experience with Workfront and/or Proof HQ a plus.
Expert skills with Adobe Acrobat, Microsoft Word and Outlook, and at least intermediate skills with Excel, plus the ability to learn other content management systems. Experience with SharePoint/OneDrive a plus.
Excellent command of the English language with respect to grammar, punctuation and vocabulary; proficiency with AP and/or Chicago style guidelines.
Analytical mindset, time-management and problem-solving skills, and the ability to see both the big picture and details of a project.
Effective communication/interpersonal skills to work across teams and disciplines.
