We are Reach Plc, you might not have heard of us but we have probably met without you even realising it. We are home to the UK and Ireland’s most iconic digital platforms, magazines and newspapers. From the Mirror, Daily Express and OK!, to our regional titles such as the Liverpool Echo, BirminghamLive and the Manchester Evening News (plus lots more), our brands and the stories we cover are as varied as our people. We help all kinds of people share experiences through our stories because we believe this is what makes us human. We are looking for someone to join us as a Local Democracy Reporter to live and breathe the choices being made by the Tees Valley Mayor and Combined Authority, also covering Stockton Council. From the state of roads to local schools to new recycling services, every one of us is affected by the choices that councils make. You will be part of a team of 165 reporters working throughout the UK to hold local authorities to account through a BBC-supported service. Your work will mean that everyone in Teesside will get to hear about what the decisions l are being made in their name. If you’re a politically-minded reporter, ready to stalk the corridors of power in Teesside, searching for brilliant and engaging stories for our audience then this is the position for you! Apply now, we’re reviewing applications as they arrive.
