Reporting to the Senior Editor, this role will support content production, development, and promotion of one of their new products. You will have responsibility for ensuring the quality and consistency of the content produced and commissioned, as well as writing news, interviews and producing other multimedia content.
The Assistant Editor will develop content management, communication, and editorial skills, where you will be editing, writing/commissioning, and posting news, articles, and interviews; social media and CMS management, while supporting the Senior Editor where necessary across projects and marketing activities.
The successful person will be educated to degree level or equivalent in a life sciences subject (essential), and will have a passion for science and an interest in making a career within scientific publishing. You will have great attention to detail, with the ability and flair for news and feature writing. Some proven experience either when studying or within a working environment of content production or multimedia/podcast related would be a distinct advantage.
If you are looking for an opportunity to use your life science degree and digital skills within a forward-thinking and innovative scientific publishing company, we would love to hear from you.
Our client is offering an attractive salary, and excellent company benefits, and a friendly working environment, with the opportunity to progress.
