We are looking for someone who wants to make a difference in the community she or he serves by being passionate about generating local content across a variety of platforms. The right person will have a background in journalism or communications and will be equally talented as a reporter, writer, photographer and someone who can use social media as a tool to connect with sources and readers. Kodiak, an island in the Gulf of Alaska, is a vibrant commercial fishing port. It is also home to the largest U.S. Coast Guard base, the world-famous Kodiak bear and miles and miles of hiking trails, beaches and camping opportunities.
