Reporter

The Lansdale Reporter/Montgomery Media is looking for a part-time, creative and ambitious reporter to cover the Souderton area and surrounding towns in Montgomery/Bucks counties for our daily and weekly print and online editions. The candidate should have strong reporting, writing, organizational and interpersonal skills, be able to take photos and work within a team. A knowledge of social media is essential. You love deadlines and never miss them. You are able to self-generate compelling story ideas related to assigned topic or beat and are resourceful and innovative in developing sources and/or obtaining information, often on deadline. Exercise news judgment and critical thinking to identify appropriate angles for news stories and ongoing coverage. Ability to identify holes in stories and dig relentlessly to determine actual facts and/or the truth of matters.
