Role Profile

Lloyd’s List has an exciting opportunity for a Reporter- Lloyd’s List, working in the editorial and content team that spans the world, and is growing.

This is a full-time, permanent role and will report to the Deputy Editor, Lloyd’s List.

This role is full time based in our modern and centrally located UK - London office close to St Paul’s, Blackfriars, and Farringdon with an excellent and a wide variety of services and transport links situated nearby.

Key Responsibilities:

Balancing breaking and daily news with the production of insight stories for our global audience of shipping industry professionals
Collaborating with other reporters, editors, and data specialists
Attending local and/or international news conferences, industry events, webinars, conference calls etc.
Generating story leads and build industry contacts
Contributing to the development of our social media presence and multimedia platforms

What we are looking for:

Essential

At least 2 years’ experience as a reporter
Strong editorial skills, able to write clean copy to tight deadlines
Self-starter, with ability to learn quickly on the job and understand the wider issues of the industry
Proficiency in MS office suite including Word, PowerPoint and Excel
Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise daily
Team player and problem-solver who works collaboratively to motivate colleagues across the organisation.
Proficiency in written and verbal English

Desirable

B2B or financial services title or publication
Proficiency in content management systems such as Sitecore or similar
A higher education degree or vocational equivalent
