Position:

Environmental health equity and corporate accountability are critical issues concerning low-income communities of color in the San Francisco Bay Area. Air quality, exposure to toxins, municipal wastewater handling and other environmental health issues disproportionately affect those communities due to proximity to highways, ports and factories. Using data-driven investigative reporting, this reporter offers a comprehensive and nuanced understanding of the challenges surrounding environmental health in underserved communities.

Salary and Benefits:
$58,000-$64,000 based on experience

Paid time off — 26 days accrued annually for employees working full time (including 10 company holidays). Medical — we offer a portfolio of medical options through California Choice. Employees receive a $200 monthly employer contribution off the plan of their choice. Dental — We offer a 50% employer contribution off of the Delta Dental base plan coverage. Vision — We offer a 50% employer contribution off of the VSP Vision base plan coverage. Basic Life + AD&D — We offer a 100% employer contribution towards a $50,000 Life + AD&D coverage. FSA/Dependent Care/Commuter Benefits — Employees can take advantage of pre-tax plans through BBP administrators. Contributions are made in full by the employee.
