UrbanTurf seeks an enterprising reporter to anchor coverage of the DC residential real estate market. As the DC area’s leading online residential real estate publication, UrbanTurf breaks news, profiles properties, and generally delights and informs home buyers and real estate junkies throughout the region. The successful candidate for this position will be a savvy and assertive reporter who doesn’t need much hands-on supervision and can quickly learn the ropes of the UrbanTurf style and stay on top of its heavy publishing schedule. A working knowledge of the fast-moving real estate development world is desirable. Most important, you must be capable of writing quick, accurate, and clean copy without much guidance. You will publish a combination of regular weekly features and 2-3 short stories that crop up daily, so a total of approximately 10-11 original articles a week­­­.
