The Winchester Star is seeking a general assignment reporter. The ideal candidate will have a journalism background with knowledge of Associated Press style and experience covering local government, courts and police. We are six-day-a-week daily located about an hour west of Washington, D.C. We're outside of the metro bubble, at the tip of the beautiful Shenandoah Valley, in Winchester, Virginia. Benefits include medical, vision and dental, paid vacation, sick leave. Our reporters work flexible schedules without a lot of supervision - we just want you to go out, dig for stories and tell them to our print and online readers.
