Breaking News Correspondent, Finance and Markets

Reuters is seeking an experienced correspondent to run a social media and contacts-driven operation that will dig in to day to day developments in banking and financial markets. Working as part of a small 4-person team split between New York and Bangalore, the reporter will aim to develop – or expand – a contact book of bankers, traders, investors and brokers that will deliver leads on original and exclusive stories and keep tabs on the wealth of gossip that seeps out of financial markets daily. They will be a constant presence on Twitter and Reddit, building relationships with the investors and traders who hang out, swap banter and drop actionable tidbits on social media with a view to breaking more news and improving the quality of market intelligence we receive.
