Digital Producer (Level 1 Journalist - Temp)
This TEMPORARY position is based in Toronto, Ontario.
Do you want to be part of a team creating hundreds of videos a week ranging from simple soundbites, to captioned videos, detailed news explainers, and narrated features? If so, this might be the role for you.
Reuters is looking for a Digital Producer with excellent editing skills and experience creating video content for online and social platforms. As a Digital Producer in our Packaged Video team, you'll be working with video, images and text gathered by our global news teams to produce ready-to-publish stories for both Reuters and our digital clients. This is a temporary position and will include working some weekends and holidays, and occasional home working.
About the Role
As a Digital Producer (Level 1 Journalist - Temp) at Reuters, you will:
Be part of the global packaged video production team.
Edit and deliver video content as directed by the team leader.
Write and occasionally voice scripts.
Have a keen eye for visual storytelling.
Help develop story and content ideas to suit digital platforms.
Ensure your work is accurate, timely and impartial, in accordance with Reuters' TRUST Principles.
About You
You're a fit for the role of Digital Producer (Level 1 Journalist - Temp) if you have:
Demonstrable experience of working in a digital newsroom or video production unit.
Strong video editing skills, preferably Adobe Premiere.
Some knowledge of After Effects and motion graphics.
A passion for telling news and personal stories.
A clear understanding of the different styles of digital and social platforms.
Excellent written and spoken English.
The ability to remain calm under pressure.
A track record of being a team player.
