We’re looking for an experienced senior Legal Editor to join our Editorial & Content Operations Team in Hong Kong.
The Principal Editor of our Hong Kong Law Reports Portfolio is responsible for overseeing the delivery of our distinguished Hong Kong law reports content to the legal market.
About the Role
In this opportunity as Principal Editor, you will:
Coordinate and supervise the editorial and publishing workflow for our Hong Kong Law Reports Portfolio.
Plan and monitor publishing and output schedules.
Work closely with a small team of editorial and production colleagues to meet those schedules.
Author, review and edit legal content for publication.
Identify key legal issues in judgments and curate our collection of reported case law.
Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external law report stakeholders, including courts, government agencies, legal practitioners, and subscribers.
Be or become a subject matter expert on law reports and their role in our legal system.
About You
You’re a fit for the role of Principal Editor if your background includes:
A legal qualification (barrister or solicitor) with at least 2 years post-call/post-qualification experience, either in Hong Kong (preferred) or from a common law jurisdiction
Excellent spoken and written English and Chinese.
Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.
Strong online legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
Strong experience with Microsoft Office applications.
Proven editorial and publishing skills, in online and print, with exceptional accuracy.
Project management experience in a high-volume environment.
