Political News Writer

Establish yourself as a known writer with exposure to millions! Right Side Broadcasting Network seeks a part-time news writer to join our editorial team. If you are experienced in journalism, passionate about the conservative movement, and obsessed with politics, this position is for you!

This writer will specialize in breaking news stories and is an expert in attention-grabbing headlines. The right candidate will have professional work experience in the media industry, a strong working knowledge of Republican politics, and an ability to write without bias. We look for responsible, self-motivated contractors who are available on-call.

MUST HAVES:

2+ years of experience in journalism, politics, or public relations,
Strong communication skills and willingness to reach out to public figures,
Knowledge of news writing best practices and AP style,
Passion for and thorough understanding of today's political landscape and conservativism,
Bachelor's degree in communications, English, or journalism is preferred,
2-3 news writing samples related to politics.

EXPECTATIONS:

A minimum of three stories per week with insightful analysis,
Part-time commitment during regular business hours on Eastern time,
Preferred availability on Mondays, Fridays, and Saturdays,
Increased availability on election nights and rally nights,
Excellent communication skills.

Employment terms:

Independent contractor status
Pay is $25.00 per story
