Communication Specialist

Robert Half's client in the non-profit space is looking for a Communications Specialist to come on for a 4-6 week contract. They are open to both part-time or 40 hours/week. Apply today!

Responsibilities:
Manage earned media coverage (crafting pitches, writing press releases, brief statements and talking points; and field inquires with reporters and public affairs teams across SF agencies) – get about 3-6 inquiries per week from the media
Field the requests from the media and manage the requests internally during full lifecycle of request
Help execute communications plan (platforms: LinkedIn & newsletters) – using simple, easy to digest language
Monitor coverage of organization through various media sites
Pre-draft marketing materials and collaterals
Write newsletters (sent at the beginning of the month) and stand-alone pieces about the upcoming gala (e.g. information about the speakers, entertainment, etc.)
Co-manage blogs, write blogs, and copy edit blogs

Must be a quick and strong writer
Must be a highly organized, strong project manager
English verbal/written fluency required
Passionate about nonprofit space
