News Editor

New Posted 8 February 2022 | Rochester, United States | Rochester Post Bulletin

The award-winning Rochester Post Bulletin has an opening in a leadership position in its newsroom of 22 hard-working, talented journalists. Our news editor supervises seven news and feature reporters, developing story ideas and editing those stories as they are filed. We are looking for somebody with sharp news instincts and a strong command of the written word. You must be a good communicator and enjoy the hustle and bustle of a busy newsroom. The news editor is part of a team of editors that includes a digital managing editor, photo editor, business editor and sports editor, working together along with an editor-in-chief. We have a team that works well together and relishes each others’ successes. The Post Bulletin is the winner of the Vance Trophy, the Minnesota Newspaper Association’s top award for daily newspapers, three of the past five years, including the most recent one. Our newsroom has made the transition from print-centric to digitally focused. We are a well-equipped, well-funded and well-managed company, and we provide an excellent place to work. Thus far in the pandemic, we have fully maintained our newsroom workforce, and in fact added several new positions to our team.
