The Role: S&P Global Commodity Insights is hiring an EU Agriculture and Food Policy Reporter – ideally based in Brussels but with the option to work from home.
The Team: S&P Global Commodity Insights leads the way in delivering analysis, forecasts, data, and market reports for a global set of customers. Our multi-talented team of more than 50 experienced analysts, market reporters and price reporters work together to provide actionable insight and comprehensive data sets to help customers with procurement, negotiation support, strategic planning, supply chain management, marketing and a range of other key functions.
The Impact: The main task in the role is to write articles and analyses about the latest developments in EU food and agricultural policies, as well as on related trade and environmental issues.
This includes covering key events and conferences for these policy fields, with a particular focus on meetings of the European Parliament and the EU Council.
The articles are published on the online Connect platform and aim to provide S&P Global clients with the latest relevant information for their organisations.

Responsibilities:
Writing insightful articles and analyses on EU agriculture and food policies which add value to customers across agri-food supply chains
Developing up-to-date coverage of key agri-food policy issues, such as those related to sustainability and trade
Adding value to customers through personal interaction, whether via formal presentations or informal discussions
Working with the wider market reporting team to develop their coverage to increase value for clients
Contributing across Food and Agricultural services – Economics, Outlook, Market Reporting and Policy
Key Qualifications and Skills:
Excellent level of written and spoken English
Experience in writing about agriculture and food policies is a major advantage
At least basic knowledge of EU affairs and decision-making
Experience in presenting ideas and insights to clients, whether through formal presentations or informal discussions
A degree in Journalism, Political Sciences or a related field would be another advantage
