As part of the Agriculture News team, you will play a key role in building and driving news coverage focused on global agriculture commodities. This role will emphasize on capturing insights from demand centers for grains and supply hubs for biofuels in Asian markets.

You will be producing engaging content, including spot stories, breaking news, data- and event-driven analyses, features, interviews, infographics and other forms of rich content that power the agriculture markets and will support the adoption and advancement of CI prices. The role also requires proactively chasing fast-paced, cross-commodity developments that influence agriculture and biofuel markets, including ET/ESG trends.

You will deliver content and insight through a variety of digital channels.

This role will require you to quickly adapt to a dynamic commodity world, and become a self-starter by identifying market trends, building industry knowledge and developing sources across the markets.

The Impact:

You will maintain CI's high journalistic standards, practices and policies and ensure editorial quality. As the lead reporter and writer, you will play a significant role in contributing to CI’s Market Insights efforts and elevate content that will capture the pulse of the commodity markets. You will be empowered to make editorial decisions on agriculture content as part of CI content strategy.

The Team / The Business:

We are a team based in India but with a global remit, closely collaborating with multiple teams to deliver essential market intelligence to our clients. At S&P Global Commodity Insights, the content you generate and the relationships you build are essential to the energy, agricultural, metals and petrochemicals markets.

Your Skills:

Should be an exceptional writer and reporter, with a minimum of 4 years of experience as a journalist/analyst in the global or local finance/business/commodity industries.
Exposure to biofuels sector will be considered as a critical trait for this role.
Needs to be flexible with the work timings as the person in this position will cover news around global agricultural markets capturing different time zones.
Must be self-driven and outgoing, and need minimal supervision to handle the day-to-day editorial decisions.
Should be highly collaborative, with strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.
Being tech savvy and having sharp data analysis skills will be also considered as strong traits for this role.
