Op - Ed and Letters Editor

The San Antonio Express-News is seeking an experienced journalist to join its award-winning opinion team as an op-ed and letters editor. We’re looking for an editor who enjoys working with writers and non-writers alike to highlight diverse voices in our South Texas community. Ideal candidates will enjoy mixing and matching viewpoints from across the political spectrum. They will love to brainstorm ideas and be comfortable seeking out community members and subject experts for potential op-eds. They will be rigorous fact-checkers. We want to hear from candidates who have a passion for opinion journalism, a love for the written word and are excited about how commentaries can spark big ideas, model civil discourse and facilitate meaningful community conversations.
