DarkSky International is looking for 1 to 2 science communicators who can write a series of fact sheets (using our research and other information) on light pollution and its various negative impacts.

Requirements:

- Conduct thorough research to gather relevant information for writing fact sheets, citing sources
- Fact-check information to ensure accuracy and credibility
- Collaborate with team members to ensure "voice" and brand consistency
- Proofread and revise content to ensure clarity, coherence, and adherence to style guidelines
- Meet deadlines

Experience:

- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Journalism, English, or a related field preferred
- Proven experience as a science writer, either through previous employment or published work
- Proficiency in word processing software such as Google Docs
- Strong creative writing skills with the ability to adapt writing style for different audiences and mediums
- Excellent proofreading and editing abilities with a keen eye for detail
- Strong research skills to gather accurate and reliable information
- Ability to effectively communicate ideas and collaborate with team members
