YOUR DAY TO DAY

As a Scientific Writer you will author scientific documents that are used to support global and local engagements ensuring scientific integrity and that the global materials are properly contextualized to support market-level scientific engagement in collaboration with teams in the markets. You will build and maintain a scientific content library to support global, regional and market level scientific engagement activities. You will consolidate the scientific content within and across global comms, life sciences, and external affairs to maximize the impact of our engagement materials.

Working with internal and external scientific stakeholders to implement scientific narratives into written, and visual materials that can be used to explain complex scientific concepts to broad audiences including scientific stakeholders, regulators, media, and business partners.
Develop, review, and edit scientific engagement assets such as scientific briefs, research summaries, study factsheets, posters, slides and event-specific assets in accordance with the engagement and content calendars to maximize scientific engagement opportunities.
Maintain the scientific engagement slide and presentation library (develop new slides, maintain, and update existing slides) and ensure that presentations reflect the most current perspective, scientific data, and information.
Develop talking points and Q&As to support Scientific Engagers to use and engage on the materials.
Collaborate with external stakeholders who are developing scientific materials for their engagement on tobacco harm reduction and other scientific topics.

Who We’re Looking For

University degree (MSc/PhD) in a scientific discipline with experience in life sciences or pharmaceutical industry.
5 years’ experience in scientific and/or medical writing in which they were directly responsible for developing scientific content and ensuring scientific consistency and integrity.
Understanding and experience communicating on a broad range of scientific topics and disciplines.
Passionate about science and technology topics with excellent storytelling skills.
Capacity to work in constantly changing environment, with many cross functional interactions with tight deadlines.
An agile, dynamic & detail-oriented team player with can-do attitude.
Business acumen and understanding of how to navigate a complex global corporate structure so that they can deliver to a broad set of internal and external stakeholders
