Screenwriter

Lore Machine is a Story Visualization System. We build generative software that helps writers of all walks of life bring their textual creations into the graphical realm. Our technology synthesizes text - identifying characters, locations and even vibes. These story blocks are then combined on a scene-by-scene basis to push the boundaries of storyboards, graphic novels, films, games and commercial projects.

We are seeking seasoned television and film writers to join our team. We understand AI is a hot topic (read: third rail) in the creativity community. Lore Machine is built by writers for writers - we are not building generative text applications, or all-swallowing LLMs.

What*

• Review scripts for Lore Machine's expanding Studio projects

• Read, analyze, label and mark-up scripts

• Work with other screenwriters, animators, synthographers, engineers and creative directors to visualize language

• Collaborate with our creative team to conceptualize and develop ideas for new projects

Qualifications

• 5+ Years of professional experience as a screenwriter - character development, plot construction, dialogue writing a must; shooting script experience a plus

• Portfolio of screenwriting projects that demonstrate technical expertise and creative vision

• Strong storytelling skills and the ability to develop compelling characters and storylines

• Workable grasp of Google suite of collaborative software, as well as Figma

• Dexterity using script writing software - with an emphasis on Final Draft

• Excellent research skills and appreciation for the screening writing canon, across genres

• A chill communication style when working with creative, production and engineering teams
