Seeking Energetic, Multi - Media, Community Reporter!

Beaver Dam Partners Inc. is seeking a talented, energetic, multi-media reporter for Sippican Week and SippicanWeekToday.com, serving the South Coast of Massachusetts towns of Marion, Mattapoisett and Rochester.
The ideal candidate will:
-- Be a concise, clean, engaging writer who is energized by the fast pace of the news business and the opportunity to turn around lots of stories quickly.
-- Have a journalism degree and/or some professional news reporting experience.
-- Be able to take and edit eye-catching news and feature photos.
-- Enjoy becoming part of a community, talking with strangers, calling officials who may (or may not) want to talk to you, chatting up people at a community event.
-- Be ready to report and write stories about everything local: Municipal meetings, schools, police, courts, sports, arts, interesting people, community events, etc. You don't have to know a lot about any specific subject going in -- but you must possess the willingness and enthusiasm to learn!
-- Be organized, efficient and able to work well independently and in a small team.
-- Have some experience using InDesign.
