Global Health Visions (GHV) is seeking a senior consultant with expertise in building successful organization-level communications strategies to help GHV increase awareness of its portfolio and impact. This scope will include the development of a strategic communications plan and timeline, creation of related content and materials, implementation of communications initiatives identified in the plan, and support for organization-wide communications capacity strengthening. This is a hands-on role that requires an individual equally comfortable taking on both strategy and execution duties.
GHV is experiencing increasing requests from our valued partners and clients to support their communication needs on a wide range of global health and development issues. While initially focused on organizational communications, this role could expand to include partner and client work, given consultant interest and skills match.
Specific components of the work may include:
Assess current organizational communications and marketing materials and assets, including previous communications work done by GHV’s Communication Circle.
Draft a strategic communications plan aligned with GHV’s mission and goals – designed to strengthen our existing relationships and expand our reach to global and culturally diverse audiences. Socialize, refine and finalize the plan in partnership with GHV leaders.
Develop core communications assets, including web, social media and thought leadership content that highlights GHV’s unique value, approach, impact, and services. Directly execute communications activities with the support of GHV’s Operations Coordinator, including writing, editing, building toolkits, and conducting outreach.
Develop a digital marketing strategy with clear initiatives for online presence and social media accounts.
Ensure all organizational communications, including proposals and one-pagers, deliver consistent messages about GHVs capabilities and values.
Work across teams to ensure all staff are capable organizational messengers.
Partner with Senior Leadership Team to ensure effective communication within GHV that facilitates engagement and promotes culture and values.
