Who are we looking for?

We’re looking for a Senior Content Editor to join our close-knit Marketing & Communications team in Australia and support our leadership team and market leaders in developing and amplifying our industry voice.

Pivotal to this will be the provision of writing and editorial support, tailoring content for external and internal channels and contributing to the successful delivery of strategic marketing campaigns the position GHD for success.

Focus areas will include:

Provide writing and editorial support for engaging and impactful thought leadership material, award submissions, newsletters, social media and web content, case studies and other marketing collateral
Storyboard and manage the creative process for videos and provide direction to video editors, both internal and external
Tailor content for external and internal audiences and various digital formats
Managing the Australian editorial content calendar and contribute ideas and identify opportunities for content aligned to strategic focus areas and opportunities for business growth work
Provide advice and assist in the drafting of digital content, incorporating SEO best practice and incorporating the latest industry trends
Provide internal consulting and support to SMEs on writing as well as the broader marketing network
Develop briefs and supervise in-house writers in the development of content
Collaboration for GHD’s broader marketing network to maintain and promote alignment where possible with enterprise content themes and campaigns, and repurpose content where appropriate
Reporting on website, social and internal analytics to understand how content for our Australian Business has performed (in consultation with web, digital and marketing technology teams)
Edit and refine technical content developed by internal teams so it is clear, concise, and persuasive, and aligned to strategy and relevant Business Plans

We are looking for:

Tertiary qualified in Communications, Journalism or similar with experience gained from working in a similar role
Strong written and verbal communication skills, particularly in relation to dealing with technical material
Credible experience in content development with a focus on applying appropriate writing styles for varying target audiences and channels, especially digital marketing.
A natural ability to build strong and productive business relationships, particularly at a senior level
Ability to be focused, purposeful and confident in managing competing priorities and deadlines
Familiarity with Monday.com, Airtable or similar workflow management tools
Creative thinking ability & proficiency with popular publishing platforms and tools such as SharePoint and Sitecore will be well regarded
Familiarity with Salesforce and other tools for content engagement tracking, analysis and reporting would be advantageous, but not essential
Experience working in professional services desirable, but not essential
