Join our creative team as a Contract Senior Copywriter and be a driving force behind our brand's voice and messaging. As a senior member of our team, you will play a critical role in developing compelling and engaging copy that effectively communicates our brand story and resonates with our target audience. Reporting to the Creative Director, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including Copy Lead, copywriters, designers and marketers, to ensure cohesive and impactful communication across various markets. WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

Ideate and produce copy for a variety of assets, specifically focusing on daily promotions (short-form) and content-driven (long-form) materials.
Review, approve, and provide useful feedback on copy produced by junior writers (as needed). Assume the role of Copy Lead when I'm not available.
Proofread and edit copy produced by internal partners, colleagues, and agencies.
Collaborate with graphic and UX designers to ensure synergy between copy and visuals.
Present ideas and creative work to internal and external teams (as needed).
Develop a deep understanding of our products and business, maintaining a keen interest in how even subtle changes can affect existing and future creative.
Stay current on trends in language, advertising, social media, and popular culture, appreciating the importance of usage, conventions, and context when writing for a particular audience or channel.

EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS YOU’LL BRING

Age 21 or over
High School Diploma or equivalent

Valid Government-Issued Photo ID
Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in copywriting, preferably within a creative agency or in-house creative team.
Strong portfolio demonstrating exceptional copywriting skills across various mediums and styles.
Proficient in understanding and adapting to different brand voices, tones, target audiences, and varying markets.
Excellent command of the English language, with outstanding grammar, spelling, and punctuation skills.
Strategic thinker with the ability to translate complex concepts into clear and concise messaging.
Strong collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.
Exceptional attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
Proficiency in content management systems, project management tools, and relevant software.
Participate in brainstorming sessions, contributing creative ideas and solutions to marketing and branding challenges across different markets.
Work independently, demonstrating the ability to manage tasks and projects with minimal supervision.
Familiarity with SEO best practices and ability to optimize copy for search engines is a plus.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Must be able to remain in a stationary position 75% of the time
Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery
Frequently communicates with other employees/customers. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations
