American National Insurance Company is looking for a Senior Copywriter to join our creative team in either our Galveston, TX or Springfield, MO office. You will be responsible for crafting and creating high-quality written materials that align with our brand voice and support our corporate mission. You will work on a variety of strategic marketing campaigns, as well as internal and external communications, an agent magazine, and other creative projects.

As a Senior Copywriter, You Will

Collaborate with the creative team to develop marketing and advertising concepts that meet the goals of each campaign
Write, proofread, and edit content for all campaign materials, including print and digital advertising, direct response, branding, social media, video and radio scripts, outdoor, and more
Brainstorm themes, create and edit custom content, and provide editorial review for all materials
Interact with marketing team members, as well as contacts throughout the organization and in our agent field force

To Be Successful In This Role, You Will Need

A Bachelor’s degree in Marketing Communication, Journalism, or Public Relations or equivalent related experience
At least 10 years of experience in copywriting in corporate communications, advertising or creative agencies
Insurance industry experience preferred
Strong creative writing and proofing skills
Ability to convert complex creative ideas and concepts into marketing language
Flexibility and efficiency in a collaborative creative team environment, working alongside market strategists, project managers and product experts
Good organizational and effective project management skills
Ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously, and in a timely manner
Proficiency in Microsoft Office software and some experience in the Adobe Creative Suite
Effective and compelling communication and presentation skills
