Reporting to the Senior VP, Business Development, this role requires a seasoned professional to take charge of creating and refining compelling content for our daily, weekly, and monthly e-letters in alignment with our editorial schedule. The successful candidate will oversee the seamless production of all editorial content on our websites and actively contribute to the launch of innovative editorial projects, particularly newsletters. With a minimum of 5 years of editorial experience in the financial publication industry, journalism, website publishing, or a related field, the ideal candidate should showcase strong multitasking abilities, deliver high-quality content under tight deadlines, and possess superior written and verbal communication skills. This role demands an individual with exceptional judgment, decision-making, and problem-solving skills, who can maintain an energetic and positive attitude while remaining solution-focused under pressure.
Responsibilities
Formulate and launch new editorial projects or franchises
Champion the quality control for everything published under your watch.
Challenge writers and editors to overdeliver on their promises to promote loyalty among readers
Research and find unique and compelling investments in public stock markets and other arenas.
Work hard to craft compelling written research and work closely with editors and other staff to improve, polish and publish that research to a general audience. At times, that research is presented through video and other media.
Generate ideas on broad investment themes designed to interest and engage new readers.
Ad hoc projects as required and directed by the MarketWise CEO

Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism, English, Communication, or related field is desired
5+ years of editorial experience in the financial publication industry, journalism, website publishing or related field
Ability to multi-task and produce high quality work content under tight deadlines
Superior written and verbal communication skills
Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders to accomplish goals
Exceptional judgement, decision-making, and problem-solving skills
Energetic and positive attitude, with an ability to remain solution-focused under pressure
