Take a lead role in communicating with over 200,000 members of the state’s largest trade organization, using cutting-edge digital technologies to deliver the news and information Realtors need to navigate the ever-changing real estate market and grow their business. The Senior Editor, Digital Content will be immersed in the real estate industry and will use this knowledge to write, edit, aggregate and publish the most important industry news to our website and distribute it through various targeted email products and social media channels. This individual will also work with internal stakeholders to disseminate key information affecting members, including updates to real estate laws, license changes and deadlines, etc. The Senior Editor, Digital Content also assists the Communications & Marketing Group as needed to promote Florida Realtors’ products, services and events.
Essential Functions
Develop an effective editorial and content strategy aligned with Florida Realtors’ brand objectives and target audiences. Work with the UX/UI Designer and Senior Web Developer to monitor content performance metrics, such as engagement, traffic and conversion rates, and use insights to refine content strategy and improve future content creation efforts. Analyze data, including A/B tests, to determine news performance and develop new, data-driven strategies to enhance reach and engagement. Stay abreast of industry trends, best practices, and emerging content formats to drive innovation and maintain a competitive edge in content creation and delivery
Curate content about the Florida real estate industry, national trends, real estate legislation, market information and sales/marketing content from internal stakeholders, third-party content providers, members and other sources
Generate ready-to-publish and error-free copy for all communication venues with a minimal amount of supervision
Handle all aspects of digital publishing, including formatting content and selecting images for website, and populating email templates.
Leverage this content on our suite of digital platforms, including email, websites, social media, video and emerging communications technologies
Plan, implement, coordinate, maintain, support and complete other assignments as necessary or as directed by the Vice President of Digital Communications & Marketing and the group Senior Vice President
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communications, or a related field
At least 5 years of digital publishing experience
Demonstrated ability to write high-quality, informative and engaging content
Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, set priorities, meet deadlines and adapt to changing requirements in a fast-paced environment
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, members and stakeholders
Knowledge of digital publishing tools is required; experience with Drupal and Asana is a plus
Meticulous attention to detail to ensure accuracy, consistency and adherence to brand guidelines in all content deliverables
Proficiency with Apple computers/IOS, content management systems (CMS), social media platforms and analytics tools; basic knowledge of HTML is a plus
Ability to analyze readers’ information needs and think creatively about programs and products that serve these needs
Ability to travel when necessary
Be able to work concurrently with a vast number of assignments and individuals
Knowledge of the Florida real estate industry and current events, including activities of the Florida Legislature and state agencies, is a plus
