Collected Group is a young, growing healthcare communication agency that supports biopharma and diagnostic companies to engage in more lasting and memorable ways with healthcare professionals and patients. We are based in London and comprise two agencies:

Science Collected: a medical education agency that provides educational grant funded accredited-CME, accredited CPD and IME programmes for healthcare professionals.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Working as part of the medical writing team you will be responsible for developing content for a range of medical and scientific deliverables (slide decks, meetings, interactive apps, scientific documents), attending internal and external meetings, locally and internationally as required, and will be expected to work closely with clients and faculty. You will be a lead writer on number of projects, manage small teams, and work closely with the client services team to ensure delivery per agreed timelines and budgets.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

Develop content (primarily in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint) according to a brief provided by a client or Project Lead
Work across multiple therapy areas and deliverables
Ensure high levels of accuracy for both language and data in all materials produced
Review the work of others as appropriate
Work collaboratively with other members of Collected Group divisions (Client Services, Digital and Design, Editorial) within your assigned Project Team, and lead Project Teams as appropriate, following established SOPs
Develop budgets and timelines for small-to-medium sized projects as required
Attend meetings locally and internationally as required
Lead calls and meetings with clients and faculty
Act as the main point of contact for faculty and clients on your projects
Line manage or mentor junior members of the writing team
Contribute to pitches and business development as required

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

A graduate degree in medical or biomedical sciences is essential
Over three years’ experience in Medical Communications with at least one year in Med Affairs
A proven track record in producing written scientific content to a high standard, and leading projects to a successful delivery
Experience of attending and delivering meetings and symposia
Strong client-facing skills and a willingness to manage your own projects and accounts and supporting junior members of the team in managing their projects
A thorough understanding of the medical communications industry, the healthcare community and the role of pharmaceutical companies in the provision of healthcare services
A good awareness of industry codes of conduct and legal requirements
Experience of compliance platforms (such as Veeva)

DESIRABLE

Experience in digital writing
Experience in commercial accounts and working with brand teams
Experience in referencing software such as EndNote
