What You Will Be Doing

The Senior Cost Estimator / Spec Writer is responsible for developing cost estimates and contract specifications for the Architectural and Water Resources Strategic Business Units and manages the bidding process.

Job Responsibilities

Develop bidding and procurement specifications utilizing AIA and EJCDC documents.
Assist Engineers and Architects in technical specification writing and production of final documents for bidding.
Perform takeoff of construction documents, apply unit prices to quantities and finalize construction estimates both for water/wastewater and architecture.
Upload and distribute documents to bidders, receive and forward RFI's to appropriate persons for response, and prepare addenda developed by Engineers and Architects.
Specification production for federal programs, specifically Spec Intact.

Experience, Technical Skills, And Attributes

Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
Experience using NewForma Project Center, SpecLink Cloud and SpecIntact a plus but not required.
