Senior Technical Writer

Optiva are seeking a Senior Technical Writer to work within the engineering department. In this role you will work with the technical documentation team and be responsible for the delivery, quality, and standards of all technical documentation work.

Key Responsibilities will include:

Assess the technical documentation requirements for Optiva products
Work with the product teams to prepare customer documentation.
Prioritize, and deliver all required work on time
Ensure documentation delivered is of the highest standard
Participate in the continual review and improvement process for documentation

You must:

Have 6+ years’ experience documenting highly technical software for customers, developers and administrators.
Fluent English written and spoken language.
Have a good understanding of DITA XML and experience using Oxygen XML Author.
Have a passion for writing documentation that improves the user experience.
Have experience documenting end-to-end solutions.
Have experience working in an Agile development environment.
Be flexible in taking on new assignments and resolving customer issues.
Have a BA/BS degree in Technical Communication, English, Computer Science, a related technical discipline, or relevant professional experience.
Solid technical writing experience using a range of tools
