Great opportunity for an experienced Technical Writer / Technical Author to join their Cambridge Team!
Position Overview
The purpose of this role is to produce high quality, technical, customer-facing documentation, working within the Entrust Data Protection Solutions Engineering team in Cambridge. You’ll be a member of a small technical writing team, working with a number of agile product development teams who are based in the UK and the US.
Responsibilities
Work within an Agile product development framework.
Develop excellent working relationships with a wide variety of stakeholders and colleagues.
Write clear, jargon-free technical documentation for customers who want to install, use, and customize their security products.
Collaborate with, and support the Engineering team to research and originate new content.
Experiment with innovative ways to make their technical content meet the evolving needs of their customers.
Edit and improve technical documents written by peers and Engineering team members.
Support other teams in the delivery of compliance and certification documentation.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline, equivalent qualification or experience.
5 - 10 years technical writing experience in an agile software development environment
Experience with Git and “Docs like code” practices and tools
Experience with AsciiDoc or Markdown
Preferred Qualifications
Familiarity with SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework)
Knowledge of security software and hardware products
Experience of CLI, scripting, and creating API and SDK documentation
Proficiency with Madcap Flare
