Reporter

We are seeking a skilled Journalist to join our team in the Bundaberg Newsroom. This is a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment reporting to the Supervising Producer. You will be responsible for gathering, editing, and presenting information in a composed, accurate and engaging manner.

Given the nature of the industry, this role may require you to work on the weekend and outside of normal business hours from time to time.

Other key responsibilities include:
Developing and maintaining positive relationships with key people and organisations;
Breaking sports stories and creating engaging content;
Contributing to planning meetings and liaising with the News Director regarding story development;
Representing the Company in a professional and courteous manner.

We are looking for someone who has:
At least two years’ experience in television news reporting.
An energetic, self-starter attitude with a keen interest in current news and affairs
Proven editorial skills
A solid understanding of media law and ethics
A sense of urgency and focus on deadlines
VJ experience desirable, however not essential.
