The Opportunity
Most content marketing these days is just content for the sake of content, and that really ticks you off. You know content is about telling a compelling story that connects with your audience, provides them with value, and ultimately, leads them to the conclusion that becoming our client will improve their lives and business. You know that effective content comes from extensive SEO research, and you’re as excited about breaking down a complex topic as you are about A/B testing email subject lines. Shipfusion is looking for a Content Writer to join the Growth team and help the business achieve growth goals through content development.
What You’ll Do: As an integral part of our marketing team, you'll play a pivotal role in defining Shipfusion's voice in the ecommerce and supply chain sectors. Reporting to the Digital Marketing Coordinator, you'll:
Write various types of content, from SEO-focused blog posts to highly researched guides, resources, and tools
Play a part in developing our SEO strategy
Create content briefs based on SEO keyword research
Collaborate on our monthly newsletter and other email content
Update older content to align with our brand voice and SEO strategy
Work closely with the marketing team to contribute to landing pages and ad copy
Stay updated on ecommerce and supply chain trends to identify content opportunities that resonate with our customer personas and meet our marketing objectives
Contribute to positioning Shipfusion as the emerging ecommerce fulfillment leader in the market, increasing the visibility of our products, solutions, and services across key audiences in North America & beyond
Use your understanding of the B2B decision-making journey to create appropriate content for each stage, aiming to boost conversions and engagement
Manage multiple projects at once, adapting to shifting priorities as needed
Requirements
1-3 years of content writing experience, preferably in B2B marketing
Some experience with SEO and conversion-optimized content strategy
An innovative thinker who isn't afraid to propose new ideas
Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Marketing, or a related writing-intensive field
A results-oriented focus that motivates you to produce content that is both valuable for our audience and works to achieve team KPIs
The ability to adjust your writing for different audiences and funnel stages while always staying true to our brand voice
Problem-solving skills, both independently and within a team setting, with a willingness to learn from others
Proactive in identifying opportunities and taking the initiative to seize them
Nice To Have, But Not Necessary
Experience in the ecommerce, logistics, or fulfillment space
Experience writing for other media, such as short-form video or podcasts
Experience using Google Analytics, Google Search Console, SEMRush, and Adobe Creative Suite
