Tech Writer/EditorSimVentions is a 100% employee-owned business and has consistently been voted one of Virginia's Best Places to Work. We are looking for a Technical Writer/Editor to join our team in support of the NSWC Dahlgren. The Tech Editor will review and edit a variety of reports and presentations to ensure DoD classification standards are met, maintain a file and folder archive of historical reports, and update/maintain existing templates.

Responsibilities

Review and edit technical reports including, but not limited to, MS Word documents and MS PowerPoint presentations

Work with team members to develop accurate, clear and readable technical reports and presentations

Create or update existing templates

Maintain copies of submitted products for future reference

Required Skills & Experience

ACTIVE Secret Clearance

Proficient in MS Word and MS PowerPoint

Experience preparing, writing and editing technical reports

Experience verifying credible resources

Preferred Skills & Experience

Experience with MS Style Guides and Slide Masters

Experience with derivative classification

Education

A Bachelor of Science (BS) degree from an accredited college or university in Communications or English is preferred

Clearance

A Secret Clearance is required for this position. Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. US Citizenship is required to obtain a clearance.
