We are a small web publishing company that specializes in creating content for specific audiences. This role is remote and will begin as a part-time/contract position.
For this role we are looking for a passionate and dedicated Soap Opera Content Writer to join our dynamic entertainment news team. The ideal candidate will have an in-depth knowledge of soap opera shows, particularly long-running series like "General Hospital," "The Bold and the Beautiful" etc.
The writer will be responsible for creating engaging content that covers a range of topics, including episode recaps, spoilers, character analyses, and the latest news from the soap opera world.
RESPONSIBILITIES
-Content Creation: Write daily articles, including episode recaps, spoiler alerts, character deep dives, and feature pieces on trending topics in the soap opera industry.
-Research and Development: Stay updated with the latest developments in the soap opera scene to produce relevant and timely content. This includes monitoring upcoming story-lines, casting news, and behind-the-scenes insights.
-Audience Engagement: Craft compelling headlines and content that resonate with soap opera fans, encouraging interaction through comments and social media shares.
REQUIREMENTS
-Proven experience as a content writer or journalist, with a portfolio that includes entertainment or soap opera-related content.
-Deep knowledge of and passion for soap operas, with the ability to recall and analyze past and current story-lines, characters, and trends.
-Excellent writing and editing skills, with a keen eye for detail and the ability to produce clean, engaging, and factual content.
-Strong research skills and the ability to quickly assimilate new information and turn it into compelling articles.
-Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple assignments simultaneously.
